The Restraint

A hug can be an awful lot like a straight jacket, 

and sometimes

the intention of the restraint is the same. 

So what is the difference

between a hug and straight jacket?

Darling, it's just the name.

Broken Reality

I'm not crazy.

Perhaps my reality is different than yours.

Perhaps you see a chance to make a friend.

I see a chance to make an enemy.

Perhaps you see a day of opportunities.

I see a day of dread where no good can come of it.

Perhaps you see the sunlight.

I see the night.

Perhaps you dream.

While I have nightmares.

Are we not all Alice?

Have we not all fallen?

Do we not all face the monsters of Wonderland?

Do we not all question reality?

Perhaps the Wonderland is real.

Shall we take a trip down the rabbit hole?

A Dark Paradise

I fall in love with words

And I just heard something new

Who knew what I had gotten into

Someplace safe where I can fit
